maybe thats the plan

Then Vogel might as well play Mario. It's not like Mario's going to make us a playoff team or add a big number of wins to our final record.

Why can't coaches have the IQ to recognize when it's time to cash in on a player like that? Look, he gave us some good stuff, so let's quit while we're ahead with him. Is that so hard? Do the percentages really say that he's going to make 3 or 4 more shots over the final couple minutes of the game? No, they don't.

"But doesn't that same argument apply to anybody, especially Payton?"

Yes it does, but Payton's effectiveness tonight went beyond his scoring. He was getting deep into the defense and creating a lot of problems for them. And the shot may still have wound up going to Meeks, but it might have been a much better shot that he would have had a higher percentage chance of making.

I nominate you and Forcier to combine and become our new coach.

Seriously though, Forcier always sounds pretty smart during the halftime interviews. And he sounds appropriately pissed off at the things that he should be pissed off about. I'm still a long way away from thinking about firing Vogel, bumbling idiot though he may appear to be at times, but if/when I do turn on Vogel like a savage, I will be interested in giving Forcier a chance.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

The starting lineup is looking good with Vuc and Payton back in it.

Problem is, now our bench looks like total arse because we have no real players who can score and keep the game competitive.

Maybe if Meeks became a starter and Fournier was our 6th man scorer it might help alleviate that a little? But Watson and Green shouldn't be seeing the court anymore and the FO should be the ones to acknowledge that and take the temptation out of the coach's hands.

And can someone wake Biz up to stop him just sleepwalking through games, please?

Yup. We win this game if Fournier comes off the bench,

This makes perfect sense for us. Our bench is awful. Evan would make it substantially better. Start Meeks and then go after a SG in the offseason/draft.

Our bench is crap because Vogel refuses to stagger. Notice every time the bench gets crushed the opposing team has a couple starters in and we don't. Why ride bench guys doing nothing at all... for two stints.

Dennis where were you during the game when your brethren needed you?

Couldn't watch a big part of the game. Long story. Hope you can forgive me.

I'll be taking a break from this team though. This game did it for me. Need a break from all the losses, scrubs who always seem to get minutes regardless of their play and the IDIOT who makes me wish we still had Skiles.

Ya okay. See ya Monday night.

Its a double edge sword. Play a hot bench player and you lose, fans hate you.

Let the hot bench player sit for your starter who has more experience in these situations and you lose, fans hate you still.

If you win, you're a genius!

The starting lineup wasn't very good when Vuc and Payton were taken out, but now the bench is awful with them back as starters. Realistically we just don't have enough competent players to run the kind of rotation you'd like to run. Which makes intelligent staggering even more important. Only a handful of players are worth a damn, so you really need to make sure you manage things carefully so that we always have a lineup out there that's at least semi-functional.

Our bench looks bad because we didn't play Mario enough and Evan was out. Meeks moves the ball, but he is not a starting SG. If you had him next to Mario off the bench, I think we are better. Not great, but better than whatever that was tonight.

To be fair to the jazz they sealed the paint in the 4th. They didn't want ep in there anymore. Led to broken plays when he actually got it and the rest of the time we took jumpers and bricked a lot of them. We must have taken half our threes in that quarter.

I think Meeks fits out starting lineup better than Fournier, and Fournier can do what he wants to do more with less offensive threats on the floor.
