That was good to see. Beal displaying some toughness.

Come on. He takes a hard spill every other game and looks like he's dead. But wait, is that another jab at Wall? Geez, if we only had your boy Sato in late, we would have won.

Why am I sensitive? I critiqued John for that last possession but you seemed to question his heart as if Beal is Mr. Tough guy because he makes one play at the end after nearly dying.

Because I make a comment about Beal that doesn't even mention John at all? And you somehow get offended.
But while we're on the topic, yes, I have no problem saying Beal plays with more heart than Wall. COME AT ME FANBOYS

Not that I care either way, but all that heart ain't resulting in better play. He's been quite frankly...putrid.

bench play, mainly smith and oubre were both really good, especially during the comeback.
We hung around despite having poor games from most of our starters. Defense in the fourth was good.
Keiff plays well with the second unit. And he's a plus defender when he's engaged. I mean his help d and his rebounding is still mediocre, but I like the fact that we can switch him onto almost anyone and he holds his own for the most part.
Negatives:
Beal sucked for the third straight game. Was good to see him at least make some plays late (the free throws and the block) but he's missing WIDE OPEN shots out there.
I don't know if all the buzz is getting to his head but Porter shouldn't be restricting himself to being just a shooter. He needs to go back to cutting and going after offensive boards to have a consistent impact offensively.
Wall is getting too cute with these pull up/fade away twos. We get something good almost every time he gets in the lane but he still reverts back to overdribbling and settling for long twos
Keiff shouldn't lead us in field goal attempts EVER.

Brooks' decision to stay with the small Lineup of Mild Discomfort hurt us a bit. I understand the temptation to have four shooters on the floor. But for one: Morris isn't the screen-setter that Gortat is. Morris' screen didn't free up Wall much, so Wall was forced to try to create something out of nothing vs. Jackson -- and ended up with nothing. And the other issue is that we end up being vulnerable on the other end to offensive rebounds. We gave up three on the final possession.
Hindsight is 20/20, but I don't like leaving Gortat on the bench in those situations -- especially with Drummond on the floor.

It wasn't the lineup of mild discomfort. Brooks has been messing up with this, he closes with Kieff instead of Gortat and there is no screen and roll guy. It's a huge mistake and the reason why Wall had to jack up a fadeaway ISO shot instead of pick and rolling and finding a wide open shooter.
Wall-Beal-Oubre-Porter-Gortat
Our best lineup plain and simple.

As the poster who coined the phrase "Linuep of Mild Discomfort" (I think), I've been using it to refer to our version of the Dubs' Death Lineup -- no true center; Morris in the Draymond role. I agree that the Oubre/Porter/Gortat would've been a better lineup to finish tonight's game with than the LoMD, but given the Pistons' size and how close the game was, I'd have preferred to run with our starting lineup instead. Oubre wasn't exactly lighting it up from 3, and Morris is a better decisionmaker on offense. The LoMD should be reserved for smaller teams, or when we're behind and desperate to score.
