even ill admit ive wanted more from dre this season...... that said, ill show you why were not getting the best out of him right now.
shot attempts per game
rj-14
kcp-12
mook-13
tobias-13
dre-11
on average, dre has been the last option on offense this season. rj and the rest of the guys on the perimeter have been try to playing around with the ball taking mad jumpers. now while 3 shot per game difference between rj and dre might not seem that significant, its shows that our team has absoulutely no heirarchy on offense. Now take a look at these numbers
rj- .435%
kcp-.422%
mook- .412%
tob- .484%
AND Dre- .531%
would you look at that. Our last Option andre drummond makes 53% of his shots. Like i admitted before, ive wanted more from dre this season, but you have to get in order to be able to give and dre aint getting the damn ball enough!. I wont post any more numbers but yall watch the games just like i do so we seeing that exact same thing. The hottest team in the league other than the warriors is the....76ers. the have a plethora of bigmen down there but from their last season till now, they've only just recently(december-january) started playing through their bigmen completely. If you claim to know about basketball, then you should know the most classic fundamental rule of team basketball. YOU HAVE TO PLAY INSIDE - OUT. hes making 53% of his shots on a off year. HE SHOULD really be getting like 18 19 shots a game. he misses 1 hook they goo away from him but a week or 2 ago i watched 4 quarters of mook missing every shot basically and he kept getting the ball.
how many times do we feed dre early in the 1st quarter then go away from him the rest of the game just expecting and relying on him to go and grab the rebound? How often then not does reggie take 5-6 seconds just to get over half court and another 5-7 seconds just to get the 1st pick of the offense, all the while pounding the ball doing/creating nothing? How often do you see mook touch the ball and just know he wont pass it back out?
have you ever wondered how many offensive sets we run? im sure we have a hell of alot more plays then what we show on a night to night basis but as soon as ish went to the bench for reggie, thats **** went out the window. if yall go back to find the one thread i made a couple months back about how i said myself "i was wrong about kcp, hes really stepped it up", i made that thread right before rj came back and messed up everything. kcp plays better with ish because ish plays fast and hes always looking to get in the lane quick and dish.
my fingers tired lol but im telling yall man, dre aint getting enough shots, rj aint it and gotta go.
