It makes sense that the Kings are not actively shopping him but will listen to offers and if they got a gargantuan one, they may take it.
I think they want to compete though after being in the lottery for so long so I still think Denver makes the most since because of their depth. They play Boogie at the 4 and he can hit the 4....a Boogie/Jokic frontcourt? Boogie liked playing for Malone too right?
Denver could offer Mudiay, Barton, Chandler, Gallinari, their first, and a future first for Casspi and Boogie
Sac
Collison/Barton/Chandler/Gallinari/WCS
Mudiay/McLemore, Temple, Richardson at wing spot/Skal/Papa
That's a pretty damn deep lineup. There are other pieces too like Bogdanovic, Lawson, etc
Den
Murray/Harris/Casspi/Cousins/Jokic
Nelson/Beasley/Miller/Hernangomez/Plumlee
What? How does this offer beat the Suns? Gallinari has a player option this summer, so he's gone. Chandler has a player option next summer so he's likely gone. Barton is a free agent after next season too so he's gone (or signs for 12-16mil a year). So they traded Boogie for Mudiay and two late 1st rounders just to see if they can sneak into the playoffs? If I were the Kings I'd rather have Knight than Mudiay because he shoots better than Mudiay and can dish out 4-5 assist per game like Mudiay too.
Mudiay still has more upside. Well, if you think none of those guys stay in Sac, then they could offer Harris or Murray and throw in Hernagomez and just keep Barton or Chandler.
Actually it might make more since
Denver offers Mudiay, Harris, Hernangomez, Gallinari, Faried, their first (likely 15th or so) and a future 1st.
Sac
Collison/Harris/Gallinari/Faried/WCS
Mudiay/McLemore, Temple, Richardson at wing spot/Skal and Hernangomez/Papa
Den
Murray/Barton/Chandler/Cousins/Jokic
Nelson/Beasley/Miller/Arthur/Plumlee
The point is, Sac needs a 1, 2 and 3. They already have plenty of 4s and 5s. Len does nothing. Knight is not a future starter and is not going to hold much value.
You are assuming they just want draft picks mostly.
The thing is, I don't think they want or plan on trading them. Someone is going to have to blow them away with an offer. Boston probably has the best chance because of their depth and picks. They could give them Brooklyn's picks this year and next plus Bradley, Brown, Young, Rozier.
Rozier/Bradley/Brown and two possible #1 picks or probably at least top 3 or 4 picks is better than adding Knight, Warren and Len, and our picks which might not be great. This year's would be. The Miami picks might not be that great anyway. Who knows?
