Sacramento get to within 1 game of playoffs after 11 years and decide to tank.

Re: The Boogie Watch
That Bucher report seems like a shot across McDs bow. I mean why in the world wouldn't he take Knight out of that deal of that's all it took. We could have ate the salary difference.

Re: The Boogie Watch
If we were a treadmill team not landing this deal (like 2012 with Harden) probably gets McDonough fired, but he's positioned us as a top 5 pick drafting team now.

Re: The Boogie Watch
Well I'm glad we didn't trade for him. Just surprised at how little it took to get him. That frontcourt is sick.

If they make the playoffs it can only be the 8-seed. That first rd matchup tho...

If that's the case McD should be fired.
I dont think so. He might have just saved our ass. You know Cousins is pissed right. I think his agent was trying to scare off teams. Cousins has to hold some hostility to the Pelicans, as for as far as he knows, if it wasnt for their offer, he might still be in Sacramento and could still be getting that extra $40M. Pelicans have no guarantee that he will re-sign. They made a make it or break it move, and i think he will end up leaving in the long run, and if we still have Bledsoe on board, we might become the favorites at snagging him in FA, without having to give up ANY of our assets. Bled and Boogie are good friends and talk to each other on the regular, so i wouldnt be surprised if he isnt already in Cousins ear planting that bug. If we could end up doing all that, while keeping all our young assets and picks, that would put us in a prime position to not just sign Cousins to a sweet new deal, but to maybe go after the next disgruntled star player while also having a few talented youngsters to fill out the line-up.

Nah its not McD's fault. Anyone who can spell "basketball" knows that our deal for Cousins was a much better offer than the Pelicans, and we know for a fact that we were interested in Cousins.
This wasnt a basketball move by Vivek and Vlade. This was a personal, conceited move that was about giving the Suns the middle finger after killing them in the IT/Oriaki and Chriss/#13 trade.
Extremely petty move by a pathetically operated franchise.

Re: The Boogie Watch
If the Kings don't even want Knight as a throw in in the deal you know he has little value.

N.O will target Bledsoe the second we draft a PG with a top 5 pick.

Eh what the Kings want and don't want holds zero meaning imo. They just traded Cousins and they didn't even get a top pick in return. That front office know nothing about basketball.

He might hold some value to some teams, but lets be real, The Kings already have Lawson and Collison at the PG spot, the last thing they need is a $14M a year 3rd stringer. They just didnt want to be saddled with paying an extra $14M a season for the next 3 years to a player that they really dont want or have a need for.

Collision is an UFA at the end of this season and Lawson is on a very small contract. Knight would hardly have broken the bank

I'd take Knight if it came with a top 3 pick in a strong draft, TJ Warren and Len lol

I don't know why anyone would want Knight for what he is paid.

Absolutely nothing now.
I was playing with the trade machine, and bleh, they dont have anything. It would have to be a 3 team trade. The only decent players left besides Davis and Cousins are Holiday and Jones, both of which are on expiring contracts. They just traded off their 2017 1st, and dont own any other teams 1sts in any of the upcoming years.

And both have been playing better than Knight.

McD smartly refused to include the King's request of Bender or Chriss.
