Not sure, I think depending on if a team signs him the amount they sign him for the Kings are off the hook for. We should pm smitty because I am curious about this as well.

Even if he clears waivers? Either way he's probably getting a minimum deal so it won't help Vivek in the pocket books much.
I wonder how much Barnes is responsible for Cuz being dealt this year. It was up to this year you could argue that Cuz didn't do anything to put a black eye on the organization away from basketball, then Barnes came to town.

Barnes will clear waivers. His salary will count against the cap next year either in a one time hit at 6.4M for 2018 (they may do this given the cap space they will have and won't be able to use probably) or could stretch the 6.4M over 3 years.
