Never said they were.
Melo is a better defensive player at PF as we all know. Lopez, Wilson and Lee are all good defensive players.

Real talk, if Melo is traded you still repping the Knicks right?

I was on the board before he was here...
I'm really tired of people going there with me.

These numbers are juked. How the hell do they give you Mase for only a dollar?! Dude could guard your best player 3-5. Lock you down if you weren't Hakeem or Shaq and even still would give a better cover than even Pat. Play a little point forward. Developed a nice little post game. Easy pick.

Pat - $5
Mase - $1
Spree - $4
Lee - $2
Ray - $2

And I'll save my last dollar for a Snickers bar.

One bad game. The Knicks depended on his scoring, and he was a huge part of getting us that far. Game 7 of the finals doesn't even happen without Starks.

The team I proposed has plenty of offensive options to surround Ewing with. KP, Gallinari, and Nate can all help carry the offensive load. We don't need Melo's inefficient scoring and crap defense.

All the KP's are hilarious though.

i would love to see some of these teams to hear people complain that ewing won't pass to kp

I thought they would be a horrible pairing. Ewing needed a facilitating slasher. And **** a Derrick Rose. I got me some Spre.

Having a sniper from three is a no brainer for me, as well as having a versatile defender who can score for the low cost.

KP and Ewing swatting everything in the paint would be such a beauty to see.

Prime Jax was such a sweet floor general if time wasn't a factor you literally couldn't pair a better center then Ewing to go with KP I can't believe he was 2$. And I know people will say Hakeem was better but Ewing was made for NY, the dream was much more reserved swagger wise.

Definitely, although as much as I enjoyed Ewing, I'd take Dream over him anyday. Dream on the Knicks might actually have beaten Jordan( just my opinion of course) The key to this exercise is being able to properly spend, and while there are some overpays on this list (H20 and Melo) and the reason I say this is because neither can be your best player, there are some bargains and KP is certainly one of them. You can get nearly 20 points a few blocks from a 2 dollar guy.

They were a Charles Smith layup or dunk away from doing it with Pat. Why not?

i choose them both at the end though. i just thought melo, ewing and mason was too congested. i could put kp on the 3 point line at least. but yeah. mason 1 dollar. q-rich 2 dollar. these maths be off.

Fam, Mase was best off the bench, that actually was his prime. All of the point forward stuff drug the team down, they were worse overall. Nellie ball was doo-doo.

Sometimes it's where you meet as well, and it might not have had to be that close. Dream gave everything Ewing did, but was just a better player.

This thread makes me sad...just thinking about how fun watching a Gallo/Porzingis duo would be right now...ah, what could have been.

That's what I'm saying - if they were that close with Pat, logic would follow that they could have been more comfortably in the lead with (a better player) Hakeem. Lots of variables, but easily could have happened.

These choices really do suck. Why Derek Harper or Ward/Childs aren't on there in place of Nate or Ray is beyond me, but whatev.

Nate- $1
Starks- $4
Spree- $4
Mase- $1
Pat- $5

Let Mason play the point forward and have Nate sit back n hit the open 3.

I can't pick against Starks, Spree & Ewing...all time favs.

I know you're joking, but no KP of we kept Gallo/Wilson. The outcome owileve been far different in terms of Free Agents AND Front Office.

I would rather have Starks over Melo. Heart and defense over chucking. KP and Ewing is a great front court. The euros bring the shooting. Nate is Nate. Would be a hell of a fun team.
