DD gets obliterated by screens all the time. Stuckey also could have immediately attacked towards the rim, he was just focused on the set they were running for PG. Fighting through the screen wouldn't have been some labourous task. All it required was a slight lateral movement and some sense of anticipation. Let's not spin that into being acceptable.
So, not being ready in his defensive stance (sense of anticipation) and lack of lateral movement was the issue? Didn't I just state those are his main weaknesses on the defensive side of the ball?
Let's not "spin" my words into something that they weren't where you somehow make it out that I'm stating his effort to get through those screens is acceptable. I stated that specific possession (as a whole including him cutting off the driving lane on PG to help Tucker) is acceptable, not his defense overall for the game/season, not those specific screens, just that possession. Furthermore, if you haven't followed my posts here, I'm only criticizing the posters who are using this as an example of poor defense from DeMar when he did just fine (don't read into that as great, or good or anything else) when there are far worse offenses in the past 10 or so games that you could point to if you want to make an argument for DD's poor defense.
Ok cool. It's just semantics at this point.
