That is why on over 95 % of ALL Jones fractures, that a second procedure ( Bone Graft )...has to be performed because it greatly increases healing and strength. This is what Kevin Durant finally decided to have after his initial Jones Injury. At first he did not want it, and tried to play...he did for a while, but eventually had the Bone Graft done.
I know of NO types of " Injections " that further promote the advanced healing & Strength of a Jones fracture. This is why I totally question the knowledge of these Sixer Doctors. As far as I know...the ONLY thing that can further heal a Jones fracture IS a second surgery of a Bone Graft. Otherwise, no amount of further rest, or exercise will ever heal his Injury more then it is, or was 2 months ago.
But, if they continue to wait, and wait, and wait..HOPING that the rest will further along his healing. Then those Doctors are QUACKS!! Eventually Simmons will have to likely have that Bone Graft procedure done, and if they wait too long, it will hinder him from being ready for next year.
Ben's surgeon knows what he's doing.
