College Stats:
Marshall 8 assists, 36% from 3
Ball 7 assists, 42% from 3

You'd want to be really sure the differences between the players are real beyond the numbers.

I wrote up a post earlier at work but hadn't finished while looking at their college numbers. But the gist was that I am not nearly as good at most of you seem to be at knowing how these guys' abilities will translate to the nba, but Ball is a MUCH higher rated prospect than Marshall was, who played on a stacked team. I had their freshman numbers pulled up and Ball is like 70%+ from 2 and 42% from 3, and 55% or something like that overall...better with assists as a freshman as well, and HE is the reason their team and players are all better and have the #1 offense in my estimation, while Marshall benefitted more greatly from playing with great players and simply getting them the ball.

Having said all that, I am still a bit nervous with all the skepticism and would feel better if we got Fultz, Jackson or Tatum.

It will be a bit entertaining to watch the reaction though if we end up with the #1 pick with a good lotto draw and take Ball over Fultz or Jackson.

First time watching Arizona this season... Trier looks like an NBA player.

Markkanen can't defend a college scrub for the winning basket.

So watching via laptop whole game...we get up 69-61 and laptop froze and I had to reboot and next time I see it's tied. Unbelievable.

Being a fan of the Suns and Chargers though I expect horrific losses.

Miller getting out coached and the 5* recruits getting outworked by 2-3* guys. Pathetic.

Sean Miller needs to overhaul his offensive scheme against the zone. Every year it kills us and every year we don't fix it.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

At this point I'd be happy with Fultz, Ball, or Jackson. All 3 look special.

Lauri took his last shot with something like 11 min left. Ridiculous.

I know Trier shot us back in it but I'm sick of handing it off for 20 seconds and going hero ball. Miller better change something cause we know he can't recruit a PG.

Their history suggests they don't mind having 3-4 guys compete and figure it out later.

Can you imagine how annoying LaVar Ball would be if Lonzo played behind Bledsoe for a year? Dude would never shut up.

Not that I'm a fan of Ball regardless but having LaVar snaking his way onto the team somehow is one thing I want to avoid.

I can't stand the guy. Someone please educate me on this LaVar Ball character. Who is LaVar Ball?

This is obviously just my opinion but people that are comparing Marshall and Ball are reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally clueless. Like, It almost makes me think half of you weren't around when Kbutter (lol) played. They're nothing alike besides being pass first PGs. Kendall was a slow footed scrub that couldnt shoot and everyone knew it. Ball has some holes in his game but athletically its night and day. And thats saying something because ball isn't super athletic.

I watched 8 minutes of that and would rather suck than have to listen to Lavar Ball for 15 years.

Bring on Fultz.

This. Fultz/Jackson/Smith and maybe Isaac, Tatum and Ntilikina before Ball for me. I want no part of Lavar Ball. On top of that, I really dont think Lonzo is going to be effective in the NBA. He will be limited to a catch and shoot player on offense if he doesnt have the ball. And you cant rely on him to create points by himself. We have seen this before in Nash that if you rely on one guy to move the ball, good teams can lock on him and in effect, shut your offense down. I really hope we dont draft him.

Lauri passed up a lot of good shots last night.

He didn't even seem to hang around the 3 pt line as much in the 2nd half, but maybe he got discouraged after starting 1-6. Disappointing though.
