to me it's not true.
Yeah but that's just for you man.
Adams and Gibson are two huge supporting teammates. Oladipo is good.
Harden has huge backcourt scorer with him, some veterans and Capela at center.
I don't see the overall difference that can justify such a different record.
Ok, let's start then:
Count Gibson who hasn't played even 20 games it's like count Lou Williams, and I really like Gibson even if Lou is a clear 6th man of the year candidate, because Taj gives so much in term of defense, character and intangibles. So let's not count them or atleast put a draw here.
Adams is clearly better than Capela, that's a fair point.
Beverley and Roberson are elite defenders, but Beverley is so much better on offense.
Eric Gordon is better than Oladipo. He's being a phenomenal shooter who adjust to the system to emphasize Harden strenghs, but he's very capable to run a pick n roll and can save a difficult possession by his own.
Ryno is clearly so much better than Sabonis. An elite offensive skill bigman who can produce from the high post, finish with post moves or spread the floor.
Ariza is so much better than Abrines too, there's no discussion here. Dekker is better than Morrow or Singler or McDermott. And count Nene and Harrell, they have a great and very versatile big man rotation.
So people who puts Rockets behind OKC at the beginning of the season were people who were concerned about a lot of injuries. Even if OKC have better guys to be a defensive team, they really lack spacing, and there's a clear evidence you can't win, or atleast be elite, without some couple elite shooters surrounding your team.
So yeah, it's pretty clear Rockets are a better team by far, specially nowadays. They're being so lucky having key players who are injury prone and they've been healthy, above all if you look those players past seasons.
