Why ??? He's not that great , actually kind of overratedMaybe I could agree for all second round picks, even though you can find real gems in there too, Green, Jokic recently.

If it's just 3 picks I might do it but that was adding Juancho ( a 4th #1 in my book) while also potentially swapping 2 more #1's (who knows what can happen )and taking on Melo an $60M+ in salary over the next two years. That proposed deal has Billy King written all over it

I get The Who knows part. But those pick swaps would be just for show. And 2 of those picks are in the 20's almost certainly
I guess I forget to mention that I think you make the deal if you have strong belief that you get cp3 and/or d wade.
Jokic/porzingis would be dynastical
I mean if a deal was Chandler, Faried, and Nelson for Melo and their 1st it would be a hell of a deal. Draft a young shotblocking PF, and best SF available and you have 2 deep prospects everywhere but center.

I'm sorry but I cannot believe this is the poster who up until recently was a moderator on this board. That guy must have given his handle to his pre-pubescent son to use.
Besides the fact that the Knicks would never give up a #1 Pick and Melo for a guy they originally traded for him, a guy who would have no position or meaningful PT on their team and an almost over-the-hill undersized(except around the gut) PG, you still want to continue the "two deep" talent depth that allows for weekly, if not game-to-game, decision changes from Malone on who starts/plays.
