ROFBL - Come on Skywalker, between us we can come up with a fair offer for Melo. Right?
Let's try this, we'll trade Nelson & Barton to the Knicks if they'll keep Melo away from us!

I'd trade 3 years worth of picks for porzingis in a heartbeat

If it's just 3 picks I might do it but that was adding Juancho ( a 4th #1 in my book) while also potentially swapping 2 more #1's (who knows what can happen )and taking on Melo an $60M+ in salary over the next two years. That proposed deal has Billy King written all over it

Why ??? He's not that great , actually kind of overrated  Maybe I could agree for all second round picks, even though you can find real gems in there too, Green, Jokic recently.

Well, Porzingis would fit well with Jokic IMO. He plays some defense and he's fairly quick, especially for his size. He can block a couple shots a game and change some others. He's a definite stretch shooter. Yeah, I'd trade for Porzingis, but not three firsts. Give NY their choice of Chandler, Faried, Arthur, Nelson plus a first and a couple of seconds. I think that's in the ball park. I'd even give up two of those guys plus the picks.

I get The Who knows part. But those pick swaps would be just for show. And 2 of those picks are in the 20's almost certainly

I guess I forget to mention that I think you make the deal if you have strong belief that you get cp3 and/or d wade.

Jokic/porzingis would be dynastical

Uh, yeah, I don't think so. I'd make the deal and hope we don't get Paul or Wade. They'd be wasted on a team that's too young. Butler is the best player still young enough to fit in - maybe Hayward and some of the RFAs.

I'm sorry but I cannot believe this is the poster who up until recently was a moderator on this board. That guy must have given his handle to his pre-pubescent son to use.

Besides the fact that the Knicks would never give up a #1 Pick and Melo for a guy they originally traded for him, a guy who would have no position or meaningful PT on their team and an almost over-the-hill undersized(except around the gut) PG, you still want to continue the "two deep" talent depth that allows for weekly, if not game-to-game, decision changes from Malone on who starts/plays.
