I'm praying for Jackson, he's a franchise changer, I think, more so then Tatum. If we end up with 5, or JJ/Jackson are gone and the BPA is Foxx, I'd rather just trade the pick for the best package and move down a few spots and get Ntikilina, if anything, if we're going to draft a PG.
We can't get 3-4. Only top 3 spots are up for grabs in the lottery. If we miss out on one of those, we get 5th at the very most, possibly drop to 7th if things go real badly and we get jumped by a couple other teams behind us.
Huh? What do you mean? Sorry, not being sarcastic, I really didn't understand. What do you mean only top 3 spots are up for grabs? Why couldn't we get the 4th pick? Unless the rules changed, we most certainly can.
Obviously there's odds... but when I do the draft lottery on 2k, any team could mathematically get any pick from 1-16, regardless of the odds.
Unless you forgot the green font lol

No, that's just the rules of the NBA draft lottery and has been since the 80's? Top 3 spots are available for anyone to get, with odds weighted to favour the teams with the worst records, but everyone still has a 'chance'. After that, the draft is sorted by record.
We finished 5th worst, so the only spots available to us are a Top 3 spot, and if we miss out on that then we can get 5th, unless a team from behind us jumps up into the top 3, which will result in pushing us down to 6th. If 2 teams from behind us jump into the top 3, we will get pushed down 2 spots to #7.
