AB's had great games 3 and 5, but I'm not seeing this at all.
Crowder has done virtually nothing this entire series.
His shooting is abysmal and is getting abused defensively by Wade.
Meanwhile Bradley has been the second best scorer on the C's behind Isaiah and has locked down Butler in 4 out of the 6 games, one of the two because he was in foul trouble for cheap, cheap calls.
Bradley has clearly been the second best player on the team, while Crowder has easily been one of the worst, and the most obvious disappointment.
Both are great complementary players to put around the stars we don't have yet. I too prefer Bradley, but Crowder is cost-controlled and as versatile defensively. On the real team, Crowder will probably be the first forward off the bench. His contract reflects that. We likely won't be able to afford to resign both Bradley and IT if we add stars the summer, and guess who likely goes there?
Based on the other thread we were just in, I am way more open to considering scenarios where it is Bradley instead of IT who stays, but you obviously don't just give IT away. Maybe there is a scenario or two where we resign both IT and Bradley, but that's unlikely unless we just stand pat, which I am fine with long-term based on the Nets picks, but it isn't good enough to win a title anytime soon.
