Draftees 2016 – Brown, Yabusele, Žižić, Jackson, Nader

I can't wait to see what the dancing bear can do in the NBA. I've always been on the Nader train, but Zizic jumped up for me.

The big thing for those three, is whether or not their games can translate to the size, athleticism, and strength of the NBA. They've pretty much dominated their competition... we shall see!

Brown was a top 3 pick and you saw how hard it was to get good run with Stevens and this group. How much PT would you realistic expect to see Yabusele get?? Yabs has his workout cut out for him learning the ropes of playing defense in Stevens system, so I don't really expect to him much if at all. I think the Mickey situation should provide a cautionary tale.

Nader above Brown is a reach too. Jaylen would have put up crazy numbers in the D-League.

One would have to think that Jaylen Brown should be ready for more minutes next season though. Green is a necessary evil this year, he shouldn't be next year. Brown should be seeing 20-25 minutes a night next year

Don't see why not.

If they invited you or I (or a rival player) in to shoot around in the practice facility, would there be anything preventing that? Just a building with a basketball court.

Watching Gortat, Lopez and Valanciunas this post season really has me excited for Zizac. Like those guys, he is going to be a big rebounder. He may not be as skilled as those 3 yet but unlike them he plays with a high motor and that is going to add a new dimension to out roster.

Really? I watch Valanciunas in the playoffs and I wonder if these centers who can't space the floor are a dying breed, unless they are absolutely dominant on the glass or as a rim protector.

I agree. The number of true centers who can stay on the floor in crunch time in the playoffs appears to be very small. I think Zizic is more useful in the regular season and also good that he's on a rookie contract and not taking up big money.

I agree with you but those are 3 are lumbering powerful guys. Zizac is just as big but he plays more like Tristan Thompson. If he can move his feet fast enough to flash out to 3 point line unlike those other 3 he'll be very valuable. Either way he brings something we don't have and at cost of 23 pick is exciting.

If all Zizic becomes is someone along the lines of a JV or Gortat, that's still valuable on a rookie deal. I just wouldn't pay big money for him on his 2nd deal if he can't defend the perimeter or hit 3s.

I love what Brown is bringing to the floor in the 2nd round. He is focused, he's making the right plays and plays great defence. The pass to Crowder had perfect timing then he drawn two defenders in the post and kicked out for open three. Shame that his attempt of murdering Gortat was unsuccessful. On the defensive side he shut down Wall on a isolation and forced him to pass the ball.
