You got my meaning. The two wings of Bradley and Crowder defend well, but after that it is light's out bad. Godawful defense from the bigs, no rim protection, poor defense rebounding. And IT as perhaps the single worst defender in the NBA waiting to be abused. The lowest score the Wiz have had in regulation this series is 111.
Now, the Wiz have a nice team to be sure, but Atlanta held them to 98, 101, and 103 in three of the six games.
Yeah, I am still stewing over last series. For sure we would just be Wiz meat now, but Boston was so beatable.
OK, onto the current series ... Wall's passing has been very impressive. It is a reminder that Butler is best served as the second playmaker, as Beal is with the Wiz. Well Butler is a bit better than Beal in playmaking, but he's nowhere near Wall. If God could drop a scoring/playmaking PG on this team to match with Butler as a scorer/second playmaker/defender, it wouldn't take much to be as good as any Eastern team that doesn't have LeBron. Two shooters, RoLo, maybe an athletic 3&&&D small forward, that would do it.
Calling CP3 ...
