Ok look at Steph Curry in college. He had a team of nobodies and crushed it in the tournament.

Was Jordan really that good at 19?

After some thought, Fultz does seem like the clear choice here.

Some reservations, followed by retorts:
- Is he quick enough? He doesn't seem to have elite quickness like a Jaylen, but sometimes I wonder if his handles are so good that it gets lost in the shuffle a little. Dude has preternatural, prodigious skills with the ball in his hand. He certainly seems to have no trouble getting by his man in highlights, and seems clearly more capable of this than Ball. All of that analysis is heightened by the lack of space on his team. At least Ball had TJ Leaf.
- I can't think of anything else.

So yeah, Fultz is my guy. Only dude I think you can make an argument for over him is Josh Jackson and maybe Tatum. Jackson's jumper looks too much like MKG's for me. Tatum looks like a solid player who could be a star. This will be controversial, but Fultz seems like a rich man's Harden.

Fultz's conference is probably much better and Curry might have had a better coach. Curry was also older. I'm not saying you're wrong, though.

Who would you take? I haven't lurked this thread in a while.

Trade the #1, nets future #1, Rozier + Smart or some other trash Ainge can make look good, for Pheonix pick + Devin Booker?

If you're putting anyone but Fultz at the top, you're overthinking it. He has the highest floor in the top 10 and his ceiling is still all NBA. Maybe you can argue a guy like Isaac or Jackson could become better all-around players if they achieve 100% of their potential, but they have massive holes in their games right now.

Of course he had to be above board because just as Sebastian Telfair (or as he is known to those who vaguely remember him and have to google his name "stephon marbury's cousin") made a documentary about declaring for the pros and being drafted, Fultz apparently did one about selecting a college. Certainly much less charismatic than Sebastian but like Sebastian's documentary makes him highly likable. And there is a "second season" about his U of Washington experience which I am starting to watch!

By all accounts, the kid LOVES basketball. I want gym rats. Marcus, Avery, Jae - all the guys who have become key pieces are clearly guys who live in the gym.

Curry was a junior who got in due to an auto bid and had a solid Xs and Os coach. He also had a really solid 2nd partner in Jason Richards, who spent time in the NBDL.

If Fultz didn't make it two years from now with a good coach and at least one other NBA hopeful on his roster, then I'd be worried.
