After some thought, Fultz does seem like the clear choice here.
Some reservations, followed by retorts:
- Is he quick enough? He doesn't seem to have elite quickness like a Jaylen, but sometimes I wonder if his handles are so good that it gets lost in the shuffle a little. Dude has preternatural, prodigious skills with the ball in his hand. He certainly seems to have no trouble getting by his man in highlights, and seems clearly more capable of this than Ball. All of that analysis is heightened by the lack of space on his team. At least Ball had TJ Leaf.
- I can't think of anything else.
So yeah, Fultz is my guy. Only dude I think you can make an argument for over him is Josh Jackson and maybe Tatum. Jackson's jumper looks too much like MKG's for me. Tatum looks like a solid player who could be a star. This will be controversial, but Fultz seems like a rich man's Harden.
