With the option to draft a player like De'aaron Fox, I'm staying away from Dennis Smith Jr.. Why? I'm betting on Fox's body type to hold up over Smith's. When I look at Smith I see Baron Davis and Eric Bledsoe. When I look at Fox I see Iverson and Tony Parker. But I can see the opposite side of the coin as well. Some people see Damian Lilliard in DSJ and some people wonder how Fox can be a John Wall or Westbrook clone with such a huge difference in weight, so he must be the next Dennis Schroder...I believe that I'm looking at the players correctly, but time will tell...
DSJ is constantly compared to players that have played with a greater motor than him like BD, Bledsoe, and Lawry. In reality he may be a Lillard that not only doesn't play defense like Lillard but he also desides when he wants to play offense on given nights throughout the season that's totally unlike Lillard. I can see weight issues in DSJ's future just like BD.
Baron Davis had atleast one severe knee injury before turning pro.
