with draft night three weeks out... i feel like we're coming to an end of jah on the sixers. i feel like BC wants to give him a chance to have a fresh start, and the team doesn't want to go into the year with the "what are you going to do with okafor?" cloud over them. a lot of teams are going to realize there is many center prospects in the draft, and hopefully a trade goes down on june 22nd - for jah and the sixers sake.
With that being said, here are a few possible destinations i see and some possible returns (teams without center prospects):
1. sixers (stays put and i'm way off)
2. Wizards - we saw their centers struggle in the playoffs, but theyre still under large contracts. slim chance, so won't go into return.
3. Spurs - Pau = player option, old, dedmon - will not take option and test free agency (aka get paid somewhere else). going to count
Lee in this mix too. i see this as a big possibility as the spurs try to get younger and jah's rookie contract would be a cheap
alternative for them to lure a top PG free agent. i also see pop making jah into something. Possible returns? Kyle Anderson or 2nds?
there isn't much.
4. Suns - Len is a FA, they do not have much else, chandler is 34. possible brandon knight dump or picks? who knows.
5. knicks - could be a fit next to a 3/D stretch 4 type guy in KP. they are strangled by noah's $ tho. hard to invest in a center.
6. lakers - zubac, black, mozgov. a possible clarkson for jah swap to help them make way for BBB?
7. Mavericks... jk
8. Bulls - home. no center depth. cameron payne as he didnt work out? denzel? jerian grant?
IMO the real players are the Spurs, Lakers, and Bulls... and we are probably looking on draft night for a late-first, second round pick realistically. (or a salary dump i.e. clarkson)
Possible picks:
Lakers @28
Spurs @29
bulls @38
spurs @59
Where is your cut off? would you trade jah for 28 or 29? what about 38?
would you hold on to him for the year if this is the price range?
