Would you trade for Drummond ?

Sources: Detroit Pistons are gauging the trade market on Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson. Both were on the market at the trade deadline.

Well there's a reason a rebuilding team like Detroit would want to move him.

All he does is rebound, he's bad to terrible at everything else. He's unplayable against any good team. At his price, an expiring contract is more valuable.

I wouldn't even trade Mozgov or Deng for that contract

we have to give up three prospects for Drummonds horrid contract? If Drummond was that good, why is Detroit giving up on him?

By the way Drummond is a great cautionary tale to people who look at physical measurements and assume everything else will fall into place in terms of player development. Well, sometimes it doesn't and when it goes wrong, it looks like this.

i wouldn't be so harsh.

I'd say Clarkson and Black for Drummond i'd do or some variation for Clarkson + Deng/Mozgov + 28 for Drummond (in my head Mozgov seems like he'd average 15/10 and be more effective than Drummond is now).

Drummond would give us defense and rebounding. Can't go wrong with that.

this season he did in comparison yet he'd still be way better than what we have presently.

Previous seasons he was really good.

Mozgov is better this season or any other. You seem to be evaluating players by stereotypes and think just because Drummond is a bad free throw shooter, he also has other attributes like a DeAndre Jordan type player.

He isn't.

Definitely no. Seriously i probably wouldnt trade Mozgov for him straight up, unless ill be sure that other team would be interested in Drummond.

'17/'18 $23,775,506

'18/'19 $25,434,262

'19/'20 $27,093,018

'20/'21 player option $28,751,774

Its not that Drummond is totally void of value on the court but its hard to field a great team with him making 25% of the cap. As for acquiring him then trying to unload him to another team, I am sure Detroit will have already exhausted all options with teams that might be interested.

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?
