He's at his best flanked by a rangy rim protector and a capable perimeter defender. He's a natural fit between Gobert and Hayward. But I know you guys want draft picks, that's where the Hornets come in.
You trade Carmelo
You get 11, Burks, and Joe Johnson
Utah trades Favors, Burks, Johnson, and 24
Utah gets Carmelo and Plumlee
Charlotte trades Plumlee and 11
Charlotte gets Favors and 24
I wish. but this aint happening.
Melo is a cancer. He's going to stay in new york and continue to hinder the progress of the team.
If he loves New York like he professes to leaving you with a lottery pick is a pretty good parting gift. Not for PJ or the Knicks, but for the fans.
He loves the lifestyle of NYC and what NYC does for his brand. He's not interested in the franchises quest for another championship anymore. For example, during the season we were tanking for what turned out to be porzingis, Melo, our 125 million dollar player, played with his bum knee in meaningless games like the anthony davis-less pelicans and sixers and dropped 26+ points on those **** teams to give us meaningless wins for the tank just so he could appear in the all star game. Dude cripples our future by messing up the tank and playing on a damaged knee just to lay some bricks in the ASG and shut it down to get surgery afterwards.
He already said he doesnt really care about an NBA championship too.
He's checked out of Knicks/basketball success (aka what fans want). He's just building his brand in NYC now and being a marquee name playing for the most valuable franchise in the league helps him with that
