I think the Celtics want JJ to guard the best player on the opposing team. I think it would be a really great move for the Celtics if JJ focuses 100% of his energy on defense. I wanna see how JJ can fare on defense against Durant and Lebron in particular.

You think the Lakers will be that bad next year?
Why wouldn't they be? They're horrendous. They almost passed the Nets this year. Nothing really changes for them.
I don't mind the trade insofar as we're rebuilding. But...
1) Doing it right now, and not on draft night, doesn't make sense to me.
2) I'd like to see Ainge follow up a move like this with a concerted effort towards rebuilding. Flipping picks for some 2nd tier "win now" player would be very disappointing.
They're adding Lonzo and their young guys should improve, and many people seem to think they were tanking last year. No motivation to lose now.

Same thing I was thinking. Woj's tweet kind of read like it was on both the LA and Sac.

Not really time to joke around. Look at those picks he already has outside of BKN. Top 7 protected. Top 15 protected. Garbage. Complete garbage.
Life's too short man; it's always time to joke around.

Lakers pick doesn't, Kings does

The irony of this statement is hilarious.
Considering there were many on here whining about the opposite at the trade deadline.

There's no haul. #1 picks are once in a blue moon. The #1 pick was the haul.
