I wanna see how JJ can fare on defense against Durant and Lebron in particular.

He might go to the Bulls for all anyone knows. Very very likely there's a follow up trade coming.

Why wouldn't they be? They're horrendous. They almost passed the Nets this year. Nothing really changes for them.

I don't mind the trade insofar as we're rebuilding. But...

1) Doing it right now, and not on draft night, doesn't make sense to me.

2) I'd like to see Ainge follow up a move like this with a concerted effort towards rebuilding. Flipping picks for some 2nd tier "win now" player would be very disappointing.

They're adding Lonzo and their young guys should improve, and many people seem to think they were tanking last year. No motivation to lose now.

People also thought Minnesota (who have much more talent) would improve. People think every young team is going to improve. Ball should be a good player in time - but asking a rookie to transform a rudderless team like that is too much. The Lakers will be really, really bad. The real issue is the possibility of the pick being protected.

Same thing I was thinking. Woj's tweet kind of read like it was on both the LA and Sac.

Refer to Smitty's tweet. DAs trading it.

This would be the only case I could forgive Dummy Ainge for what he has done. Just give NO all the picks we have and call it a day...

But it ain't happening, we are stuck with 6758369238062 picks, 99% of which will be stashed or waived after 1 year... smh

Not really time to joke around. Look at those picks he already has outside of BKN. Top 7 protected. Top 15 protected. Garbage. Complete garbage.

Life's too short man; it's always time to joke around.

See I'm the oppo. Life's too short to f*ck around. Saw that enough in Afghanistan. :(

Last thing I want to see is another dude who can't shoot for **** on this team and will be a liability on that end. He better be traded for a stud.

The irony of this statement is hilarious.

Considering there were many on here whining about the opposite at the trade deadline.

Guys. Danny watched all these guys, a ton. He then brought in Fultz for a workout and talk. If Fultz blew them away, they would have kept the pick. Obviously, he didn't and there is other opportunity out there. Next year we got 3 picks, and nets and lakers will suck. We could win 55 games and have the 1 and 2 pick.

I think it's a big-time haul. I wanted Fultz, but I was of the ilk that if Ainge didn't want fuktz, he should go with Jackson or ball at 1.

This better lead to Anthony **** Davis. I don't care about Butler hell no if that's the target. Ainge **** up big time imo and we better have a big move lined up. There's a reason that Kings pick is protected because Marvin Bagley is actually a generational talent and no way that pick was going unprotected which would've helped the pain be less. Ainge is RISKING big time for the Celtics future.

i think he moves some assets to try to acquire a third lottery pick in 2018. If he gets the #1 OR #2 pick next year he may move his other 2 lottery picks for a vet or future #1s. Danny may see "gold" in next year's draft. He is playing the "long" game now...He is fascinating to watch.

There's no haul. #1 picks are once in a blue moon. The #1 pick was the haul.

I know some Cavs fans who would disagree with that assessment.

So next year When The Celtics have pick 1 and 2 I should expect Danny to throw that away too.

Assuming he doesn't just give them away for one leg George or 50 year old butler
