I am SO MUCH happier with this deal. I can't believe some here were willing to give up the LAL and Sac pick unprotected.. I was about to have an aneurysm.

So if it's only one future first, then I think unprotected is fine. You can't trade up for free.

Wow, it's not both picks. Lakers pick has protections, if it doesn't convey, they get kings pick instead.

wow..So the difference between Fultz and Jackson are 2 potential top draft picks ****, thats 2 more shots of landing a star and even we even not sure if Fultz will be one
the picks need to be at least top 10 protected or convert into bunch of 2nd rounders if not convey. High doubt given the intelligence of BC
I now have to root for Lakers and Kings to suck for 2 more years ****

This deal is a good move if:

A) Sacramento pick is protected enough that it conveys as some 2nd round picks in 2020 and beyond, or conveys as the Sixers pick instead in 2019 (in the 20s).

B) The Lakers pick conveys at #7 or later.

That's just my personal feelings. Worst case is Fultz sucks and the Sixers are right back in the conversation for a top 3 pick next year and 2019 anyways.

But BC is in win now mode, make no mistake about it. He will compile all these assets into another trade before the end of the offseason. He is going after an established wing shooter, and maybe even still signing Lowry too. He wants to win and win now.

Was just clarified, LA pick has protections on it. If LA pick is top pick then we keep it and give Kings' pick, if Lakers pick isn't a top pick then we give it to Celtics and keep Kings pick.

Actually a really cool deal.

The 2018 Lakers pick to BOS has protections on top and bottom that could keep it in Philly, and if so, then 2019 Kings' pick goes to Boston.

The perfect protections would be outside the range where Vegas has them (1-8 and 19-30) :lol:
