And the revisionist history begins.
I will say this, while I do think Fultz is going to be a stud offensive player, I won't say that he's better than the field. I can see someone other than Fultz being the best player in this draft. Problem is, this definitely feels like a draft where you can get a Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, etc. a lot of very talented seniors and upperclassmen. Then you have untapped potential like Zach Collins. This one is a real crapshoot, but I do think Fultz is guaranteed to be great on at least one side of the court.
Totally agree. There's a plethora of point guards, small wings and combo guards in the second round who have a chance to be a surprise. One of the many reasons I would've been perfectly fine with Josh Jackson, Tatum or Isaac, is because I think Frank Mason, Frank Jackson, Edmond Sumner and Dillon Brooks have considerably more game than a lot of the bigs projected ahead of them.
As it stands, I'd like to see if we can exchange a bunch of those seconds for one of Portland's three first-round picks. Instead of worsening their cap situation, they can stash those picks and keep them off the books.
I still don't like the idea of hooking Boston up, and I believed all along we could've gotten it for less than the LA pick. However, it is slightly less than the LA pick. It's a slight overpay to a rival. But I get it. The fit is undeniable. And when I saw Joel and Dario's pic and how excited they were, I decided to get over the price tag.
