You always beat this drum, like Phil being a d*ck or KP being a d*ck are mutually exclusive.
Once again. Phil's been an ass. KP and crew are now matching him one for one. That said, that doesn't make me want KP dealt any more than it did the other day (well, maybe some), but if I can flip KP, a #4 pick, for another guy who was a top 5 pick, and then get a top 5 pick also, then to me, that accelerates the rebuild by at least a year.
Would I do Booker and #4 for KP? In a heartbeat, even if KP was my favorite player.
Because KP's been good, but potential is still a big question. He'll get better. But how much better? Who knows. All I know there are at least three tall guys I can name off the top of my head who looked way more advanced their first two years than KP - Durant, AD and KT. Now, obviously those are top of the draft guys. But it's not a given that KP will look significantly different as a player next year, or two years from now, then he does right now. Better? Yes. More developed? Yes. Will that crossover ever really be a true NBA ability and less of a sort of gimmick? Who knows. Will he ever develop a post game? Who knows.
