I think hes a far worse fit, and ive never been a fan. Talk about no spacing.
Aldridge avg 5 shots a game from 15-19ft and shot 42% on those attempts in a down year for him.
Blake avg 6 shots from 15-19ft and shot 33% in one of his best shooting seasons

Aldridge was second in the league in post up percentage behind Al Jefferson. Last season he was fifth. 40% of his shots came inside of 10 feet this season. He used the same percentage of possessions as a PNR roll man as DJ did this season. Dj was in the 99th percentile and Aldridge the 34th. His eFG% on spot ups was a miserable 45%, ranking in the 45th percentile.
Hes a catch and shoot big, who scores from the elbow down, is really bad in the PNR, and is going to be an ugly fit next to Jordan.
Say what you will about Blake's shooting, but his ability to create offense off the dribble, play in the PNR, and his elite passing for a big make him the much better fit.
Interesting. I never would've guessed his post up rate was that high. Id be interested to compare his Portland numbers to his SA numbers. Where do you get those numbers from?
From the eye test, i see teams close out on LMA and teams sag off on Blake giving him that shot all game
