I like it this way. We just need more guys doing this. It wouldn't be lopsided if the top 8 teams become super teams. Seeing stars not making the playoffs or getting a first round exit is of the past.

With Kings signing Bogdan Bogdanovic for $10 mill a year, that's one less team to worry about in FA.

then again, CP3, Harden and esp. Melo are ultra-gimme-the-ball players. CP3/Harden will be an interesting combo to watch next year.

Yea, Bogdanovic has been one of the best players in Europe and he's 24 years old. He should be a better NBA player than the Bogdanovic we had.

It's like this right now and it makes the regular season and first round of the playoffs boring as hell. The argument that this has been happening for years is nonsensical - just because something has been done for a long time doesn't mean it's right. With franchise expansion, there is a clear divide of superteams and non-superteams, and it's ridiculous.

The NFL jumped up in popularity once they introduced parity into the league, the NBA needs to follow suit.

Do we need 82 games, though? I don't even have enough time to watch every game from a single team.

whether we need it is something else. We have 82 games...

we have games where the players can take themselves out of it any time....

anyone wanna watch jazz vs suns? heat vs magic? nets vs knicks? nope... GS, Cle, Houston soon and maybe Boston.... those will be your primetime games over n over...

if the players want this, let them have it n watch it burn.

It makes the league boring as ****. The playoffs were abysmal, the Finals were abysmal. Thankfully, we have a team here that plays hard every night win or lose, so I don't need to bother with the rest of the league.

What are the Rockets going to do, cut the ball in half to appease the both of them?

NBA needs to install a system where the top guy can get paid crazy money and the rest of the team has to fit under a hard cap, no exceptions. That way, if these guys really want to play together they would have to sacrifice an insane amount of money to do so. Top 25 players need to be spread out through the 30 teams.

Good for the Clippers in getting something for CP3. They should've blown it up a year or two ago. They've peaked, but at were a high enough level where if they sold off CP3, Griffin, Jordan, Reddick, they could've built a Boston sized war chest in a hurry.

I'm so mad Phil got fired. It was so entertaining how he was ruining the Knicks. I really hope they got another awful GM.

I Don't mind super teams if there were at least 6 to 8 of them and they happened to be spread relatively evenly between the 2 conferences.

There's really never been a time there have been more then 5, 6, maybe 7 contenders.

I would want more competitive playoffs as an in general though. Back in the day, it wasn't this garbage where you knew it was a sweep every round and every matchup. Even 8 seeds had a shot, even if it were a shot in the dark.

I at least do not want to not know the outcome of a series absolute before each one starts.

I at least want 4 or 5 teams that LEGITIMATELY can actually win the entire thing.

It's truly a double-edged sword.
On one hand we hate these guys teaming up and leaving their past teams high and dry, especially when their former teams were real deal contenders, one trade or late draft pick lotto hit away from dominance.

But on the other we cry that no one big time leaves money on the table and just switches sides.

KD still pulled a bitch move imho. I don't feel as strongly about that as some, but all the context adds up to that sum. But I love seeing guys switch.

Imagine Kidd left for San An? We never trade for VC and maybe we windup with Dwight Howard and CP3, organically through the draft? Or Deron Williams(I know, I know lol) and Brandon Roy? Or Kevin Durant and Kevin Love? All while San An cock blocks LAL and Detroit over and over haha.

Idk man, NBA has been boring lately, but I honestly feel the next 4 seasons are gonna be lit, both league-wide and our own team developing during a period of darkness.

Nets are fun and rebuilding the right way.

That will do for me, in between all of the FA intrigue and stuff.

Lets the superteams superteam. Nets aren't there right now, but no one expects them to be. People still be sleepin' on them Nets!

This isn't prime Melo we're talking about here. He's been on a steady decline and suffered several injuries over the last few years.

Also, it's one thing to have CP3 speed up his game to fit MDA's style. It's a completely different thing to also have Melo try to be a run-and-gun player.

And didn't Pringle leave the Knicks because he couldn't stand coaching Melo?

Maybe all is forgiven but I don't think it would be as pretty as everyone thinks it would be.
