Maybe we can sign JJ and Waiters for one year deals. If they play better for the full season they can get better contracts next year. Teams would be much more comfortable giving them bigger deals.

Blake has all star caliber skills but I don't think we should invest in a player that's injury prone and hasn't played a full season in his NBA career. I just don't want another Mcbob situation where we are paying for a player that's going to be on the sidelines a lot.

He's right in my opinion. I don't want Hayward or Griffin and top market prices. Being the best available players, they will command that price. Supply & Demand.

Next season the dam bursts open and teams will be bidding high on a wider variety of players. We can sign someone to play with Dragic and Hassan.

I also don't understand the obsession with JJ and Waiters, they've been disappointments their entire careers except for a three month stretch.

Let's ignore how poorly misused they were on those teams and let's focus on how better they became once Spo found they right line up and system for them to excel. When the hell did Blake Griffin become Tim Duncan all of a sudden? Some of you people popping your loads over his showtime dunks.

The same can be said for Blake though? Who is to say that he wont blossom in our system? Not trying to be a contrarian to your case for JJ as I really like him but blake has been solid his whole career. hes dissapointed with injuries sure but you cant blame the clippers failing in the playoffs all on him. CP3 is another one that has never done squat in the post season. I would take Hayward first, Blake plan B and JJ/Dion plan C

Blake is the best FA that we can probably get in the next 2 years. What I actually like about him is that he plays his heart out and will be a natural heat player on his first day here.

Blake is a point forward who is much better in transition and would probably be better is a system like ours that allows him to get a rebound and immediately push the ball down the court.

You do realize it took JJ signing with us in order to thrive in our system and get familiar with it?

We don't have a set in stone system. Our system is based on our personnel

Writers here seem to assume that if we get Hayward we would want JJ and that if we get Blake we would want Dion.

I actually hope we get Hayward and Dion. I want Hayward to be a stretch 4 next to Whiteside. I think traditional pfs are irrelevant in today's NBA and guys like Garnett, Duncan etc are all centers in today's game.

Totally agree on the injury history. However, I'm very interested to hear what these several reasons about his specific game are that you don't like.

I don't like his footwook. His post game has issues at times. I don't like his jumper. He is not as good of a defender as JJ and if he is, I have yet to see video on it. He doesn't show up in crunch time. This is not a guy I want to give the max too. I'd rather resign Waiters and JJ. With Blake we can fill the void at PF, but we lose a reliable 2 guard in Waiter. Who is going to replace him? Do you want J-Rich to fill that spot? No thanks.
