And I'm only interested in doing it to hate on Doc.
If Jerry suggested that we don't do the deal, it's fine.

we couldnt have struck a deal without a 3rd team getting involved. They had to shed around $3million in salary and we couldn't really take on more than a couple million.
not to mention we dont really have a player like Morris to offer. They probably would have been interested in Harrell, but salaries wouldnt have worked.

is there no chance we can keep Mo Buckets?
DJ, Reed, Harrell are all are pretty bad FT shooters and they can't do anything other than set up screens outside of the paint.
I think I'd rather have a back-up big who can shoot.

avery bradley would have been a huge get but i don't see how it was possible. we didn't have the assets or the situation to get him.
so basically i blame doc and i thank jerry west we didn't do something dumb like trade 3 first rounders for him.
kidding! maybe.

There doesn't seem to be any market at all for KCP. If he doesn't get an offer sheet and Detroit makes him unrestricted, I'm starting to wonder if he could be had for cheap on a short-term prove-it contract. Of course, knowing the Nets, they'll probably throw some insane offer sheet at him and then be stuck with him for way more than he's worth.
No chance. Hes gonna get paid, even if its only on a one-year deal.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Agreed. I wouldnt be surprised to see the Lakers, Nets, Hawks etc make a play for him. Decent young piece and the Nets and Hawks are hurting for talent

The Pistons only had to give up Marcus Morris to get him, so I can't imagine the Celtics' asking price was too high.

Actually, the offer was Lou Williams for Bradley and Boston seriously considered it. It was down to us and Detroit. They chose Detroit.

Yeah, I mean, I get it, Morris is on an insanely cheap at 5M for the next 2 years. But man, a Beverley/Bradley backcourt is the stuff All-Defensive dreams are made of.

yeah, it is nice to dream about, but in the end, we still got Milos with career 3point % at .385 with the last 3 seasons better than 40%, and Patrick beverly with 37.5% in his career. we will be fine with its perimeter catch and shoot. I worry about the overall team defense but not the offense it can generate.
ehhhhh f it.
