So the Melo deal to the Knicks was held up over a Russian rookie and now the deal may be held up because of a Chinese guy who hasn't played a single minute in the NBA? Wow...that's gotta hurt Melo's super sized but fragile ego.... :rofl:

I don't like the deal being floated around with Meyers Leonard. At 10 million per year i'll take Harkless for 3 years- but I want nothing to do with Meyers Leonard at 9 million for 3 years- especially considering we are already tied up to Noah. For the next 3 seasons we would have close to THIRTY MILLION tied up in two useless front court players.

Houston won't offer more than Anderson and a future protected pick.
Cavs only need to offer Shump,Frye,RJ to beat that. The knicks save $16 million starting next summer with that trade.
There's no rush for the Knicks to accept either offer but when the trade deadline approaches, the cap savings the Cavs are offering will be the best offer.

If any trade involves Myers leonard or Ryan Anderson to the Knicks we should immediately say no. I would rather keep Melo than take on Anderson or Leonard.

FWIW- This trade between the Knicks and Cavs works straight up. No need to add in Love or a 3rd team.

Cavs get- Carmelo Anthony
Knicks get- Iman Shumpert (2 years, 10.3 mil per), Channing Frye (1 year, 7.4 mil), Richard Jefferson (2 years, 2.5 mil), Kay Felder (2 years, 1.3 mil)

The return the Knicks are getting is so bad they could probably easily sneak a 2020 Cleveland first round pick in there.

This trade would EASILY be the Knicks best option, and it's also the best option for the Cavs because they keep Love and add Carmelo.
