I think it actually allows all star weekend to be focused on without the thought of trades. Remember what happened with cousins last year?

the built in TV timeouts are still there at the same 2 per quarter. thats a bulk of the issue. stopping play inorganically to go to a 5 minute commercial break. best part about fiba/olympic ball is no tv timeouts. those games flow so much better.
also the changes to 60/20second time outs are 100% irrelevant. late in games a time = a commercial. and they arent starting play to til back from commercial anyhow.
I think what would REALLY help is the timeouts to advance the ball to half court at the end of the game... no need to stop the game, just move it to half court and resume
