I still dont think we need a big. a 4 man rotation of RHJ, Booker, Acy, Mozgov and then adjust that based on how much allen can play right away.
i dont think we need a 6th big especially if we go small more this year

I have no problem rolling into the season with our big rotation being RHJ/Booker/Acy/Mosgov, it's more to do with depth. If one of the 4 guys you mentioned goes down we'd be in real trouble. It really puts pressure on the bigs to perhaps play more minutes than they should otherwise.
We could play small like you said, but apart from Carroll, who else could fill in at the spot?

if someone goes down and allen cant step in we can always add someone mid season. we have 4-5 million to work with. another acy time mid season deal?

But wouldn't you prefer to get him in now rather than later? Just not sure if adding the guy midseason would allow him to be able to contribute sooner than we would want them too. But I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. I'd rather clear some of the congestion we have at the wing spots now.

It makes too much sense to not happen. There is going to be a team out there that needs a guard and has front court depth to spare. Kilpatrick, Whitehead, Dinwiddie, and Harris can play NBA minutes and some team out there will have their version of Chris Mccullough that they're willing to move on from. Or an Ed Davis type will shake lose from a team like Portland looking to shed salary.
It wouldn't even shock me if Marks was willing to deal RHJ in the right circumstance, but that would have be like a rare Nurkic situation so I'd say it's unlikely. Like Marks said, they need to stay "fluid" and be ready to react.

I agree too on this making too much sense, but I doubt we can trade Skil/Harris for anything of decent value. Might have to part with a combination of Whitehead or Dinwiddie with Skil/Harris/Goodwin to make it happen whilst also absorbing some salary. Now another problem and the big one is, who's actually out there that we can realistically pursue? (Along with Ed Davis who you mentioned) Even if it's not now and during the season like Prok mentioned.

Hes obviously not in our plans.

yeah it's tough to say because there aren't many obvious guys floating out there. I went back and scanned the last few draft classes and maybe someone like Lyles would fit if things don't work out with his new team? Maybe Willie Cauley Stein? SAC doesn't have a ton of depth at C so maybe not.
Prokorov wrote:No, id rather wait. keep some flexibility. you also dont know if we will need a PF or C. or maybe even somethign else all together. why sign someone to sit the bench?
