Bagley, Ayton, Bamba, Porter, Doncic seems like a pretty solid top 5.
I agree. The 2018 draft is shaping up to be quite impressive. I still like Robert Williams as well. The funny thing is, I expect we could be significantly better than last year simply because of the addition of Josh Jackson, the growth of our young rotation players and the substitution of Bender for Alex Len (whom one could never help but recognize was never very good for us in terms of RPM or VORP). So in my view it's altogether possible that we don't get one of these top prospects.
The silver lining here is that there seems to be depth in next year's center crop. That was last the case in 2013 and before that, 2008.
I like my big men to dunk the ball, personally. My favorite player in Suns history was Amare Stoudemire for that reason, and after that, Shawn Marion. My ideal selection next year would be a deceptively clever, obviously strong, long-armed dunker and dunk-blocker averaging 35 MPG at the 5 spot for us over 82 games over each of the next 20 years. But I'll settle for whomever McD selects.
