In 2018 while the sixers can match any offer. Teams can give Embiid a 4 year max deal but essentially a player option after 1 year. So it sets Embiid up for a huge payday in 2019 if he decides to opt out and he becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2019.
Can't have a player option with years after the player option.
Offer a 5 year max and teams can't offer less than 3 years.
Not that I want to go into free agency with him. Lock him up.
