As far as Cleveland in concerned, if I was the GM, I would not cave in to an offer I didn't think was enough. I would even start the season with him. I don't know or think that they will, necessarily, but I think since the timing of his trade request was so poor, that there could be better offers later. I also wouldn't be surprised if there are many teams in the mix that are not even being talked about.
The same goes with the Suns...I wouldn't give up much for him, if GM, because I think he leaves in a couple of years and it is somewhat pointless, given where the team is at. I think there is near zero chance he would stay. Bledsoe is a FA then too, but I'd prefer deal him for something that fits the team's long term goals better. If the Suns knew they had him for 5-7 years, it's worth giving up a bit, but not under these circumstances.
Not that Sarver will agree. McDonough, who was just extended for 3 years, and they had a press conference telling fans it would take time and we will develop our players, would be best served to sit this one out. Sarver may influence him to do otherwise...so nothing will surprise me if a trade goes down, but I wouldn't pull the trigger on one.
im in pretty much full agreement with you on your main points, i dont believe either Kyrie or Bledsoe will be in Sun uniform once their contracts are up and i am completely fine with that. The Suns only hurt them self by acquiring win now pieces at this stage in their rebuild if they are giving up blue chip prospects such as Jackson and potentially a top five pick in next years Draft
On top of which i think Kyrie is over rated a bit due to exposure and sports center type highlights and Bledsoe is a bit under rated for the lack of them, Basketball is played on both sides of the court and where a Kyrie is a far better scorer he is a far worse defender and in my opinion i think bledsoe fits with both the cavs and the Suns better than Kyrie does
