KP gets traded...
Knicks fans: we need to Draft a player like KP!
It's even WORSE on social media comment sections.

You can't say people are hating on him and don't appreciate how amazing he is but then at the same time tell people to calm down with expectations and not point out his weaknesses because he's still so young. Either he's already that amazing or he's not, you can't have it both ways.
Some of you don't allow even the slightest criticism of him, even if it's coming from his fans like most of us on here are, but you don't allow any constructive criticism of him to be made, apparently if you are not worshiping him then you are a hater.

How about we just enjoy his development and actually LET IT HAPPEN instead of keep playing armchair GM/Coach?! Speaking generally here SMACK, not at you specifically.

The statistics are not far off & Porz did put up better numbers.
I'll give KG props for him being a lot more natural in his movements (crossovers, ISO's, low post) but my god if Porz ever gets it right with his handle & his post up.....lawd.
Still surprised Porz put up numbers can't lie that's a little intriguing. Also to add to context and maybe a little spooky, exactly 20 years ago & exactly like KG he had the third highest usage:
1996:
Tom Gugliotta - USG% 27.5
Stephon Marbury - USG% 24.2
Kevin Garnett - USG% 21.3
2016:
Carmelo Anthony - USG% 29.1
Derrick Rose - USG% 25.7
Kristaps Porzingis - USG% 24.3
Obviously we all saw what happened when KG was given the keys, let's see what happens with KP.
And their nicknames rhyme, spookier!
The lack of patience from some is baffling. It's as if because KP hasn't been a dominant 20 and 10 guy during his first two seasons, he's not going to reach those heights. KG, a perennial all-star, a consistent 20 and 10 guy during his prime, didn't average 20 and 10 until year 4, and didn't peak statistically until year NINE.

Exactly, we should just enjoy his development and let it happen, that includes not getting too far ahead of ourselves. He's not as good as we all want him to be yet so let's not live in a fantasy land where we pretend that he's already there.

It all sounds good and reasonable..
Until you read your post a page ago when you rant about his nickname.. Like seriously?
Is this what you wanna go after? "WHY he is called unicorn if he isn't someone unique?".
Again, it all depends on how far you wanna stretch unique..
But just think about it, how many 7+ footers are there who can protect the rim and shoot threes?

The main issue (at least that I have) about the KP criticism is that most of the complaints about him are valid but only in a vacuum. What I mean by this is is that people rarely take into account his age, what he was supposed to be coming out of the Euroleague, and what he can do as opposed to what he can't. Sure, does his post game need work, yes. Does he need to rebound better, yes. Is he aggressive enough, clearly not. But he just turned 22 and finished his second season. Only a handful of players in HISTORY were basically criticism free after their second season. Take a look at the current crop of stars. Almost all of them really didn't kick it into gear until year 3, 4, sometimes 5. I can name many CURRENT all stars who didn't have the same success in years 1 and 2 as KP has had. Butler, Giannis, Isaiah, George, Westbrook, Harden, Kawhi, etc. I could go on and on, really. Former stars too, hall of famers. Kobe, Dirk, KG, etc. Check out their stats, try and remember how they played in their first two seasons. If we had those guys, I can see how people here would be critical of them because they weren't all stars right away. Now I am not saying KP is better or going to be better than those guys. But he's clearly showing that he's on his way to becoming a star. Let's just watch it happen. Being so young and so good at that age almost gives KP a pass because he's simply following the natural trajectory of improvement. NOBODY expected he would be this good during his first two years. If people thought he would be this successful, he would have gone #2 in the draft and not gotten nearly booed out of the building. If he was like 26-27 and still putting up the same numbers, fine, but he's 22 and already doing things nobody in HISTORY has done. It's a bit baffling the nit picks of a 22 year old near all star when we haven't had a player like that since Ewing.

See, look at you, you just can't fight the itch. You are like the Porzingis police, the moment anybody says anything about him you are on alert. Did I start the unicorn discussion? Go look back at how many people were talking about it before I just added my 2 cents. It's funny how I only see you posting in KP related topics. Everything else about the Knicks doesn't even concern you, something very strange about that.

So you wanted me to attack ones who started unicorn discussion too? Strange, my Porzingis police alert didn't work on those posts...
I responded to you, because of exactly what I wrote in my post. I found it amusing that you tried to play "lets be reasonable card", when just a post ago you ranted about, how his nickname isn't precisely accurate..
My posts are indeed, in majority about KP. I'am not a Knicks fan. But I'am heavily interested in a team KP plays for. So saying everything else besides KP doesn't interest me, is wrong.

Well now it makes more sense now. You are just a Porzingis groupie which explains a lot. This is why the way you see things and the way I see things are completely different.
