Why are we 14th in the East on your list? Why are the Hawks in the playoffs? We're going to be in the middle of the pack of the bad teams. Anyway, I don't know how you feel about Hayward and Irving, but it seems like you're underrating them; because they're definitely going to be either the first, or second seed.
We are not going to be middle of the pack, unless we see MAJOR improvement from EP, AG and Mario. I don't think we are that much better than last season. IF the new FO, Martins and Devos had a brain, they'd sell off Vuc, Fournier, Biz, Augustine and tank. But they don't, so we'll win maybe a few more games, getting another crappy lotto pick and be right in the same situation we are in, next summer.
Oops I meant Heat in the Hawks spot. My bad. I like Both Hayward and Irving, and could see them challenging for 2nd-4th, but the Wiz and Raps keep getting better and better. Honestly 1-4 in the East will be a toss up, only 4 players from last seasons' Celtics roster, are still on the team.
Well, as you know, I'm very against tanking and love the way we're doing things.
I also disagree about not improving that much. Mack is a very underrated hard working backup PG and Simmons was a steal for the price we got him. We replace Jeff Green as the backup SF/PF with Isaac. We have Ross from training camp this year. Ibaka was apparently a very big locker room cancer with the team this year and players were not happy with him here. Chemistry is a very important part of basketball.
My favorite part and probably the most underapprieciated part is that we're finally going to have some continuity and familiarity with our players and coaches. That should help us to improve. Sometimes, the best move to make is none at all.
I kinda figured you had the Hawks and Heat mixed up. Lol. But I still think they're way too high on your list. They just lost Dwight, Milsap, and Hardaway. I have them as the second worst team in the East. They're going to be very bad.
I can see the Raptors and Wizards in the conversation for the second seed, but I just think that Cleveland got way better with a bright future as well and Boston added a stud PG and an all star SF this year. Yeah, they lost Bradley, Crowder, and Thomas; but they replaced them with upgrades (except for Bradley) and they have young players that can improve as well.
