He was a relatively non impact defender as well but I think that will develop in time. His size, steal, and block rate portends success on that end, but Washington wasn't worse defensively when he was out.
But on offense he's more than likely just a shooter, which should be fine given Simmons penchant for playmaking.

Fultz's 6'10 wingspan should help him become a good defender. Perimeter defense was one of the Sixers main weaknesses, last year.
Fultz is more than a shooter, his hesitation moves are perfect for getting shooting space. He should be a great option for game winning shots!
Yup. Fultz is more than a scorer. He just is heavy on scoring because of the team he has played with. And his hesi is good for that hard to defend hesi-pull up and it also helps him with his counter moves.
I just hope he doesn't settle too much on jumpers that will turn him into like Jrue Holiday.
Defensively, I like his potential as a help defender. But I do think he needs to get more swipes.
