Holding a minority opinion on this board is not proof that I'm wrong.

I found this logic flawed.

You are comparing a player that was a SF in his youth that became a PF later, to a PF that will become a .....

The NBA is filled with stories of players moving up, 1 to a 2, 2 to a 3, 3 to a 4, 4 to a 5 ; there are far less stories of players moving down. What Center became a PF; What SG became a PG? etc.

Gordon proved to me last year he is a PF. And late in his career, if anything, he would become a C. Not that a 6' 9" he is the same height as Dwight Howard and Bismack Biyombo (no I do not think Gordon will ever become a PF, but threads here have pondered the question).

He'll be fine, look how he's built. The days of having to be a 6'10" or 6'11" hulk to play PF are gone now. You could even argue Horace Grant was a stretch 4 to a small degree with that top of the key jumper he was almost automatic with.

Like I said, I know that literally everybody disagrees with me, so I'm not going to take us any further down that rabbit hole.

I agree with you. If I thought Gordon was a natural four I’d never have made this thread in the first place.
Remember when Kobe elbowed Jameer in the chin so hard Jameer was knocked down and sent skidding across the floor?

He's not a natural for either position. He's a tweener. But he'll be more successful at the 4.

It's nice to know I'm not alone.

In any event, I think his explosiveness will always make him an injury risk with the wear on his feet, knees, and back, but I think that would be true regardless of what position he plays.
