I mean its incredibly early to even look at this type of stuff but Booker has a NEGATIVE win shares and a 125 defensive rating.

I'm not a huge proponent of win shares but when it's flashing negative you probably don't wanna be touting that player. And the Suns defense is just complete chaos right now.

Which is mainly why his individual DRTG looks so bad (in a whopping two-game-sample no less). You know how it's calculated, right? Booker isn't a good defender by any means but he's also just one piece of a much bigger problem as horrible defenses usually doesn't occur due to a solid-sized Guard not being a good defender.

yeah the figure is just sorta eye popping. And booker is actually a horrible defender by every available metric so I wasn't basing this off of just the Suns two games this year

Still better as a player than Frank Kaminsky.

His defense hasn't been horrible this year, but you wouldn't know it by looking at the stats. There too many things wrong with this young Suns team to really get true stats.

He played tonight, but clearly wasn't 100% after that nasty fall last night.

I watched him last night and his PNR defense was some of the most eye gouging Ive ever seen. I really think he's hopeless on that end

Kind of a weird thing to bring up defense when it's not really Frank's strong point either. He's an unathletic stretch big.

Did you see Bledsoe or Chandlers? There's made Booker look downright lockdown in PnR.

Oh my. Didn't the Hornets lose and Kaminsky was -8 last night? I'm not sure how one dunk decided anything.

Kaminsky was very good last night. He's a good player and Booker isn't... that's the difference. And the numbers will bear that out.

This feels like wishful thinking on your part. Booker had an even better game than Kaminsky and his team won.

Kaminsky with another huge game. As expected, the gap between Kaminsky and Booker is still gigantic this season.

Booker doesn't project well either... at some point we have to start looking at Booker's actual level of production and not just this "potential' everyone has randomly assigned him...

Booker didn't shoot well, but he didn't have a bad game at all and he hit the big shots at the end to ice the game against the Jazz when it was starting to get tight. He had a positive +/- and contribited in many other ways last night. It was a good game, so I don't know what you are talking about.

Oof, Kaminsky with a -23 +/- tonight in 30 minutes with 3-11 for 8 pts, 4 rbs, and 1 blk. Sounds like the Rockets took advantage of him on the floor. Might have won if he didn't play.
About that gap...

Is Booker vs Kaminsky the new Kobe vs KG?
This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.
