Sure he can start on a bad team, but so can ramon sessions and jarret jack. if he doesnt find that jumper he will never be a bigtime PG. but he has plenty of time to improve, so its a great start.
but his shooting along with his defense are what caught scouts eyes. I'm confident he will be a great shooter. it looks like the reason he missed his first 7 shots of his career were nerves. once one shot went in he started playing loose.
he only averaged about 5 pts a game in france, and shooting is what the scouting reports noted he needed to improve coming in. we will see, hes young. has time, and the team with the time. we will see if it translates.
no he made a good improvement this year in his percentages. He was actually predicted by ESPN to have the highest probability to be an all-star because of his shooting efficiency at such a young age. but he also had the highest bust potential because he didnt play a lot of minutes so the sample size was small.
when I heard that I smiled, because I knew those advanced stats were something you would have to decide using the eye test to determine if he was going to be a bust or a star. and watching him play in the finals in france I knew this kid was going to be good. all-star I don't know yet. but since Timmy is not a lead guard you are right frank is going to get some opportunities to shoot from all different spots on the floor and under pressure, we will see how his shooting translates.
