How about Morris straight up for Okafor. Any thoughts?
Or Smith straight up for Okafor for that matter?
If you're not giving up much, it'd be worth taking a chance on Okafor. I don't have much interest in trading Gortat for him however.
I agree. I wouldn't mind trying to swing Ian and tim and 2018 second for bayless and okafur.
I'd be shocked if they took that. Would probably have to throw in a protected first. But I'd be for the trade. Bayless gives us a legit 3rd guard and Okafor stabilizes the bench and provides scoring. Hesitant to make any trade like that right now with a boogie trade being possible. With Oubre improving I feel like Oubre and a protected 1st with filler gets the job done. I really like Oubre though. He could be an absolute stud in 3 years.
No chance I give up Oubre. He is a 21 y/o former lotto pick and elite HS recruit that has elite tools and motor. That is the recipe for success.
BTW. I know its only a 5 game sample size, but everyone should look at Otto vs Oubre is years 1-3 and see ridiculous similarities.
Otto per 36 (Pts / Rbd / Ast / TS / ORtg / DRtg / BPM)
2013-14 (20 y/o) 8.8 / 6.4 / 1.1 / 41% / 86 / 107 / -6.8
2014-15 (21 y/o) 11.2 / 5.6 / 1.6 / 52% / 105 / 104 / -0.4
2015-16 (22 y/o) 13.8 / 6.2 / 1.9 / 56% / 112 / 105 / 1.8
Oubre
2015-16 (20 y/o) 12.7/ 7.1/ 0.7/ 51% / 93 / 106 / -5.8
2016-17 (21 y/o) 11.2/ 5.9/ 1.1 / 52% / 104 / 110 / -2.3
2017-18 (22 y/o) 11.8/ 5.9/ 0.6/ 59% / 116 / 105 / 1.5
Guys... We might have the most deadly 1-4 in the NBA outside of GSW over the next 4+ years
