Oh we've seen this story. See: Ellenson, Henry. It's not an anomaly it's a pattern.
If you drafted a guy in the lottery and you can't even dress them despite a solid decade of losing, you probably drafted the wrong guy.
Either Stan is a bad drafter or he's bad a developing talent.
Stanley should be way better than he is. Henry hasn't done anything. Luke is on pace to be a non-factor for the foreseeable future given the roster with Bradley/Galloway. That's 3 first round picks (2 in the lottery). You could probably land a Jimmy Butler/Paul George type of deal with 3 first rounders. It's just a waste.
WTH
you guys are under-estimating the leap that every player has to take from college to pro's. and that for majority of players drafted, that leap is made by very few players in their first and 2nd years, and even through their rookie contract.
Hindsights 20/20
You guys are severely overreacting to our draft picks. This isn't 2K, in reality players need development.
Wait... isn't that exactly what we're saying?
Or are you one of those who believes players become experienced vets by sitting in street clothes?
You dress them. You play them in most games, even if it's just a few minutes. A season of DNP's just means he comes in next year looking like a 22 year old rookie (See Henry this year), and Stan won't want to play him then either.
We're talking about a lotto pick who isn't some raw 19 year old, and he's sitting because of Reggie Bullock, who has never even managed to become a consistent member of a rotation in his career.
