The ONLY fact in this matter is that they have never won a competetion against the world. They are NBA champions. End of story end of facts anything else is pure conjecture and they have NEVER won a world championship title.
No team can technically win against the world, that's why I hate when people say what you did. Only in Fiba and Olympics can that happen, and the US destroys everyone there when the best players play.
How come I feel like if people were saying Barcelona or Real Madrid were world champs you wouldn't say that? I feel like it's an Anti-American agenda right now.
Edit: Also, the best from all over the world come here to play, from Europe, Africa, Asia, everywhere. So the other teams are already watered down.
It's not an Anti-American agenda at all. He's not saying that the NBA isn't the best league in the world or that GSW aren't likely the best team in the world. The best players and teams are in the US, but a team can't just call itself a World Champion after winning a league only open to North American teams. There currently isn't a world club/franchise competition, but it's likely that GSW would walk it if there was. That doesn't mean they get to automatically claim World Championship status (they've won a league that only 2 countries participate in). IMO the only team with a World Championship claim is the USMNT as the last winners of the FIBA World Cup.
The Champions League is the best football competition in the world, but the winners are European Champions because it's only open to European teams. The current World Club Champions actually are Real Madrid as they won the most recent World Club Championship, it's just you don't hear about it because the Champions League is a much bigger and lucrative competition.
In Australia they have the best Aussie-Rules Football league in the world (it's pretty much only played there), but they don't call the winners World Champions. The same with Hurling in Ireland. They are champions of the area which the league represent (Australian Champions/Irish Champions).
