Correct.

no Isaac and Ross needs to be pulled from the SL.

Correct.

At least we hung in there for most of the game.

An interesting point. Nobody saw the Magic "only" losing by 10. This was a good-L.

Last year this game would have been over at the half.

Correct.

I like the chirp from AG on Durant. I mean Durant owned him but at least its better then last year.

Correct.

By my count, that is an AND-5 1/2 !

His offensive rebounds are down because he's playing further away from the basket (behind the 3pt line) which is effecting his total rebounds per game. He's averaged three OREBs per game last season and he's down to 0.9. We all wanted Vuc to shoot more threes right? well this is the result of playing further away from the basket. He's just going to have to make up for it on the defensive glass if nobody else is going to step up.

Why people get so cought up in semantics ? BIggest football ( soccer ) clubs tournament is called CHAMPIONS league, not only that non-champions from last year also play, it's also only limited on Europe. Full name of competition is UEFA-s Champions league ( Union of European Football Associations ) yet nobody calls it that way, it's just champions league.

If you are top nba team you are by default top team in the world. Complete no brainer.

The Champions League is the biggest club tournament because it generates the most money, but that doesn't earn you the title of World Champions. The winners from each continent advance to the much less heralded Club World Cup.

Until such a time when there is a comparable competition for world basketball, it is a misnomer to label the NBA Champions as world champions. It is an assumption that has not been proven on a basketball court.

That's our new defense. It's much more modern though and it does work. The problem is that GSW really invented the switch on everyone D and they are the masters of exploiting it as well.

It helps when your 3(Kevin Durant) is 7' tall and can shoot lights out too. He's a mismatch on everyone.

Vucevic was never a good defensive rebounder in traffic. The majority of his defensive boards have always been uncontested. He's not mobile, athletic or tough enough.

Whenever someone is in the same vicinity as him going for a rebound he just swats at it. Incredibly frustrating.

The ONLY fact in this matter is that they have never won a competetion against the world. They are NBA champions. End of story end of facts anything else is pure conjecture and they have NEVER won a world championship title.

No team can technically win against the world, that's why I hate when people say what you did. Only in Fiba and Olympics can that happen, and the US destroys everyone there when the best players play.

How come I feel like if people were saying Barcelona or Real Madrid were world champs you wouldn't say that? I feel like it's an Anti-American agenda right now.

Edit: Also, the best from all over the world come here to play, from Europe, Africa, Asia, everywhere. So the other teams are already watered down.

I just think it's a little weak since you said nothing the past 2 games he played because he was really helping the offense, and you also admitted in one of the threads that we need him back. I don't like when people say one thing and don't really acknowledge when players do good but the second they do bad it's a trollfest/hate party. We know he's not 100% AND we're against one of the best teams of all time... and every time he's been in the game this year prior to this game the offense has looked like it actually makes sense. Might want to pump the breaks on the hate but that's just me.

Happy Elf if back. Still wish we had a better alternative.

It's not an Anti-American agenda at all. He's not saying that the NBA isn't the best league in the world or that GSW aren't likely the best team in the world. The best players and teams are in the US, but a team can't just call itself a World Champion after winning a league only open to North American teams. There currently isn't a world club/franchise competition, but it's likely that GSW would walk it if there was. That doesn't mean they get to automatically claim World Championship status (they've won a league that only 2 countries participate in). IMO the only team with a World Championship claim is the USMNT as the last winners of the FIBA World Cup.

The Champions League is the best football competition in the world, but the winners are European Champions because it's only open to European teams. The current World Club Champions actually are Real Madrid as they won the most recent World Club Championship, it's just you don't hear about it because the Champions League is a much bigger and lucrative competition.

In Australia they have the best Aussie-Rules Football league in the world (it's pretty much only played there), but they don't call the winners World Champions. The same with Hurling in Ireland. They are champions of the area which the league represent (Australian Champions/Irish Champions).

The NFL, the MLB, and the NBA all classify their champion as the "World Champion."

Only the NHL does not do this in the Big-4.

Furthermore, what does this topic have to do with the GSWs beating the Magic?

I would say the same thing for any team that claims world champions when they never won a world championship tournament as would anyone with common sense.

It's not semantics, it's 100% facts. There is literally zero argument because it's a 100% fact that GSW have never won a world championship title and until they make a world club championship they never will.
