No duh.
I believe the Suns would have made the deal had the Celtics taken Josh Jackson with the 3rd pick in the draft. I actually wouldn't have made the deal had the Celtics taken JJ though, I would have had the Suns take Tatum. I was absolutely hoping for the deal of Bledsoe/Jackson for Kyrie.

I'm guessing though that James Jones had asked Kyrie if he would have stayed with the Suns past his correct contract and Kyrie probably told him the honest truth that he wouldn't which is why the Suns didn't make the move.

I'll reserve judgment on Kyrie for Jackson and Bled for a couple years. Today Kyrie for those two looks good, but we ain't playing for today. Let's see what Josh becomes before we start regretting decisions.

No, Kyrie had a list of teams that we were not on and was a disgruntled player wanting to go to certain teams. At best he's in Phx for 2 years. At worst, he asks management to trade him too. Jackson could turn out to be the best player in this draft. Anyone judging him after 10 games are making FAR too premature judgements. We need and needed defensive players, not disgruntled shoot first point guards. We've had enough of those.

Now Bledsoe will play amazing for Bucks and everyone on GB will be talking about how dumb are the Suns that they gave him for cheap. And of course they will be the same posters who before the trade was saying that Bledsoe is worth late 1st at best.

And then he'll blow his knees out of the stratosphere, suck up over a half year of salary then leave after playing 60 games in 2 years. Have fun with that.

I don't wish any player an injury, but with Bled. . .I would still feel bad, but only a little.

NOOOOO!!!! Don't go there...you will be admonished and berated to no end on here...I already tried that reasoning.

1) Kyrie is shoot first PG, thus, does not make us better.
2) Kyrie is too old (even though Bledsoe is 27 and 2 years older, so figure that out), and doesn't fit our #Timeline. No team should even try; GS can't be beaten.
3) Kyrie is self-centered and no better than Bledsoe this year (????...yeah, I don;t know, just go with it, man...)
4) " 'X Poster' just does not like Kyrie." (But a 1st Rd pick not likely to materialize for 2.5 years is better than Kyrie

...and my favorite of them all...

5) "The Suns weren't in Kyrie's list of teams, and he wouldn't commit to the Suns after his 2 years were up! How dare he!?!?" (ummm...okay...)

So you see, everything worked out better. We have a Center we don't want, a 2nd Rd pick not likely to materialize, and a 1st Rd pick that we'll see in 2020 that will likely be in the 20s. Definitely worth WAY more than Kyrie...

...but oh wait, we have to add JJ in the trade for Kyrie, because that's what Cleveland wanted, and got from Boston; their 2017 1st Rd pick, Jason Tatum...oh wait, no they didn't, did they...they got a 2018 Lottery pick instead. We couldn't have offered them that because we have only two 2018 picks, ours and a Top 7 protected Heat pick. :nonono:

Anyway, these are all the things that were thrown at me when I mentioned it 2 weeks ago, but since you are a Lakers fan, you'll likely receive better treatment than I did when I brought it up.

Not trading for Kyrie (or Butler or PG) was a good choice imo. This would force Suns to become playoffs team (in the west) and Kyrie could still leave anyway. I rather take many years of Jackson over 2 years of Kyrie.

It's frustrating he is listening to Rich Paul and he screwed his team but that doesn't make me wishing him injury. Marcus Morris however... for beating a guy so badly (and it wasn't just him, he needed his homies help him to beat him though he is 6'9!) he totally deserves painful career ending injury.
So happy this thug is not here anymore.

Yes, but it was Marcus who done the beating so Kieff is less guilty here. Still a terrible human being though :P

Water under the bridge. No point of going there, and the jury is still out on Jackson anyway.

I want to beat Bledsoe and the Bucks sooo bad this next game. But they're just a better team right now so of course it's not likely. But damn, let's hope the boys go out and play like it's the last game they'll ever get. At the very least, hold Bledsoe to under 10 points on bad percentages.
