I think playing him is only hurting us by playing crazy lineups (Monroe/Chandler) and more importantly taking away PT from the younger guys when at this current state of the franchise this is all we should be doing.
That's what I was thinking. Playing guys for the sole reason of "showcasing" them is dumb. People know what Monroe is. If it's pretty certain he won't be around after this year, and he wants out, buy the guy out.
It's not helping anyone to keep guys around that don't want to be here. The most they'd probably get is a second round pick or something and I think we're good there.
