Again, not if it is done in conjunction with signing a legit third star with the space.

Yeah I won't complain under that scenario. More just mentally preparing myself for it to happen.
All things considered, I think that Bayless was a good signing. It would be better if it was only a two year deal, but it is what it is.
If we need to bribe someone to take him off our hands then we could do it. Hinkie would have taken 2 second rounders for him most likely in his last year. Some other GM probably will too.
If it has to be a lottery protected first though then so be it, if getting rid of him enables us to sign a third star. I’m not saying that we should pull a Vlade and trade picks for space without using the space on a good player. If we can’t get someone worthy then we should just keep our powered dry until the following summer.

All things considered, Bayless signing was a failure so far and if he is moved along with picks, it is definitely a failure.
To be considered a good signing for a combo guard, he would need to provide Seth Curry level which is above average production. Jeremy Lin is average value, Bayless is below value production. level production last year but he did not play. This year he would need to sustain his production of 40 % from 3 on atleast 5-6 attempts.
